Fudge not set. I know it's been asked before

but I can't find the threads.
I have the sugar dissolved properly but it's not quite setting. Do I heat it again and then beat it! or do I just beat it.
I boiled it for about 5 minutes according to the recipe I have.

I did all that, but I'm wondering if I can rescue it now!

Thanks anyway but I've turned it into truffles.I've rolled it into balls and dipped it into chocolate or coconut.

iam great at making fudge! trust me its about the "soft ball stage" when you have disolved sugar and bringing it to the boil, when its boiling you have to test if its at soft ball stage, by getting a glass water, and you get a drop of the sugar mixture and drop it in the water, then get it out, if its got a toffee fell, like you can roll it into a smooth ball, not too firm though or the fudge will be too dry and hard, better when its butter in the mouth! theres also the temperature check but no sure what the temp is for soft ball.
