Pumpkin soup

i have just made pumpkin soup, it seems a little sour, should i add a little sugar or is there any thing else to make it a little sweeter,the pumpkin was not sweet tasting to begin with. here's hoping some one has a answer. jan.

does it need more salt?Sounds silly I know but that could be the problem

Sometimes a bit of brown sugar helps improve the flavour of not so great pumpkins.

2nd winnies suggestion: brown sugar, nutmeg, and a touch of ginger should do the trick! reheat to allow the flavours to cook thru. When you heat to serve, add some heated milk, but do not allow it to boil.

I always add a carrot, this seems to add both colour and sweetness. Try it.

i add sugar, crushed garlic, green herb and chicken stock and a little curry powder

chicken stock, potatoes, garlic, onion,, salt & heaps of pepper. Add Sour Cream or Cream Cheese before serving.
