Just made a batch for the first time after a second the curry flavour comes through but fist taste is bland. How can I give it a lift? ?

suggestion for next tiime. Roast your pumpkin first it intestifies the flavor

I always add a can of creamed corn.
Also worchestershire (sp) sauce gives it a nice zing.
You could also add cream to make it rich. Even a knob of butter if you don't have cream.

I always cook mine with gd cumin, gd coriander and gd turmeric. Add gd nutmeg at end with cream

AS others have said roast all your pumpkin, and plenty of garlic, pan fry bacon and onions, good pinch of curry powder, add a good amount of chicken stock and puree to thickness you like with blender. . Lovely flavour...

Roast the pumpkin or just let it stick / brown at the bottom of your pot . then add a bit of water to cook it ( not too much liquid ) then add lots of milk , simmerthen blend , add some nutmeg just before pouring the milk.
