Family Steamed Pudding:
6Tbsp flour
3Tbsp sugar
½tsp baking soda
½ cup milk
Add sultana's, raisins or mixed fruit (no set amount, think its a couple of handfuls from memory, haven't made it for awhile)
Mix altogether and steam for a minimum of 3/4 hour and no longer than 2 hours.
Variations:
(1) place 2Tbsp jam in the bottom of basin before addng batter
(2) Add 2Tbsp cocoa powder to dry mix for a chocolate pudding
(3) add cinnamon, ginger and/or mixed spice for a plain version or to spice up the fruit version.

yes it is correct, I know doesn't seem much, but pudding would feed 8, was my mums regular standby desert.

ooh just realised I left out the (1oz) 25g melted butter. actually she probably used rounded Tbsps of flour.

As I mentioned I haven't made this is I suppose for about 5-10 years, it is too much for 2 adults lol
