Need some quick help please.About to do some apricots in brandy and not sure whether I will have enough brandy for the number of apricots. Could I use sweet port on some of them, they are diluted with a syrup so I could use less sugar. Thoughts please......

Yes I know port and prunes are yum, was thinking about that until I saw Nigella has a recipe for prunes covered in chocolate and think I will do that instead, have the prunes. Still doesn't solve the port and apricots tho.Have some jars with the brandy but now am curious about the port.
