Spiced nuts for christmas

I have to take some on the day. I have a few recipes but not too sure if some are too spicy. Have you a tried and true recipe I could use as I have never made these before. Thanks

These are sweet and spicy, very easy to make and really delicious.

Sugared Nuts

210g whole nuts
1 egg white
¼ c sugar
2 tsp cinnamon (or other spices as preferred)
pinch of salt
50g butter, melted & cooled

Roast nuts 180C 6 min.

Whip egg white, whip in sugar, cinnamon & salt. Whip in butter. Mix with nuts.

Roast 160C 30 min, stirring often.

Spiced Walnuts: Half pound walnut halves, 6oz sugar lightly beaten with 1 egg white and 1 Tablespoon water.
Sift the following 3 times: 2 teasp cinnamon, 1 tsp ground ginger, 2 tsp ground cloves, half tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp salt. Add the sifted ingredients to the walnut & egg white mixture. Spread on tray lined with baking paper. Bake at 100C for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, stirring twice during baking.
These are exceptionally nice! but don't eat too many as they can irritate the tongue. I haven't tried doing other nuts but no reason they wouldn't be as nice.

Made this and it tastes nice.
However the nuts are all sticky and I get sticky fingers when I eat them.
What should I do?

Too much honey will make them more sticky, also some brands are different re stickiness and so on, perhaps keep note of what you used then decrease amount next time. Also ensure all are separated whilst cooling, allow them too set better if this makes sense.

Cheers and thank you for the feedback.
