Im in the process of moving house and want to make shepherds pie from the old edmonds cook book cause its so yum can anyone post the recipe or a yummy one to save me box hunting please. thank you

Sheppard'sPie: Perfect for leftover roastsPreheat oven to 160 c Ingredients: 6 cups cooked minced meatieleft over lamb OR beef roast1 large onion, chopped3 tbsp butter3/4 cup tomato sauce 2 tbsp tomato relish1 egg, beaten1/2 cup creampepper and salt Method: In fry pan, soften onion in butter . Mix all ingredients together. Place in buttered pie dish and cover with freshly mashed creamy potato. Dot with butter and bake at 160C for approx. 1/2 an hour. Variations: Add sliced green pepper, mushrooms or tomato andthe topping of mashed potato brushed with egg yolk. If using leftover minced lamb, a small squirt of mint sauce mixed into the dish.

hi - if that os not the one you are looking for give juliewn a "call" - from memory I believe she collects old Edmonds books. Although Fisher's ones does look good as per normal.

My Shepherd's Pie is made with "Lamb Mince" with potato, peas and carrot.
My Cottage Pie is made with "Beef Mince" with celery, carrots and a bit of parsley plus potato and parsnip topping.
