mllawn, Jan 11, 5:01pm
I have been trying to make this on and off for several months. It rises beautifully during the first oven step. When I cook it however it sinks in the middle. Help, what could I be doing srong!

Thanks

Sorry, can't help with your problem.
My wife swears by the Artisan Bread in 5 minutes, method.
If you Google that, it will come up and explain the simple method.

Hi there I have tried this a number of times and it sinks in the middle too. nice tasting but only good for toasting as it tends to be a bit moist in the middle. I will be trying a few of the ideas suggested on http://www.lifestylefood.com.au/recipes/14548/busy-peoples-b
read.

I also make Annabel's bread, but have changed the temperature to 60dg for the first 20 min, as any warmer you force the yeast to quick and it definitely needs to be baked for 40 min.

HII make her recipe all the time with great success. use alternate flour and mix and match use tsp cinnamon its yummy. i also add any nuts ie pumkin seed. pinenutsetc and also dried fruit. i also make it in our motor home with good success. , just do not over stir the mixtureand when you put in the container too cook just give it one or two strokes up and down to get rid of the air pockets. i then sprinkle with nuts or seed. good luck

Hi - I left to rise on top of the oven where it was warm for about half an hour, the first stage is too hot in the oven and kept sinking. Results were the best
