Anzac biscuits - should they be chewy or crunchie?

honeybean, Feb 4, 5:15am
I love to bake and the biscuits you buy these days are just awful -so I made some Anzac biscuits for the tin.Used Alison Holst recipe.
Now I have not made these for a long time - but are they supposed to be crunchy or chewy? These ones were chewy - but lovely flavour.
Going to try a few other recipes until I find a good texture.
Just wondered which way they should be???

I think different people like/make them different ways. I like mine chewy. You will sometimes find just baking for a bit longer will make the difference between chewy and crunchy but there are dozens of variations in recipe too.

Crunchy with a wee bit of chew.

I detest soft biscuits.

I cook mine for longer and a lower temperature. They become just like rotorbladz says - 'crunchy with a wee bit of chew'

they should always be the way you like them.
