put this in general as well. The recipe said WHOLE milk, did they mean the old grey top. only had blue top and it has gone all curdly. maybe a knob of butter could have helped.

No, dark blue top would have been fine as well. The silver top milk wasn't homogenised so the cream sat on the top. Beautiful!

the pudding was horrible. I am sure it needed butter in it. the idea was great

I buy a carton of Farmhouse milk from the supermarket, thats just like the old two part Silver top bottled milk we had as kids! And I always put in about a tablespoon of butter and sprinkle nutmeg all over the top.
