Smoked Garlic salt from the original spice and garlic company (or something like that).Goodgle smoked garlic salt - it was the first one on the list when I did that.It is so scrummy that I use it on everything. That and a little freshly cracked black pepper.Nelson Saturday markets have a stall as do most A&P shows, field days etc.Don't buy other spices now (it has heaps of different ones in it).

I always see so many seasonings from masterfoods or greggs. I'm not the best cook but learning. Just would like to know, what are your must have in the kitchen when it comes to seasonings.

Masterfoods Tuscan Seasoning - fantastic on roast potatoes and other rost vegetables, roast chicken, sprinkled on Greek salad, added to vinaigrette, added to garlic butter . very versatile.I have about 40 separate herbs and spices for their individual flavours but as a seasoning to just "shoosh" things up a bit the Tuscan Seasoning is great

All you herb pros, what herbs would you add to a pizza for extra flavour. TIA.

kinna54, Mar 9, 8:21pm
Can't do without fresh ground black pepper, rock salt, rosemary, oregano, garlic salt are the ones that get hammered in my house. On pizza all of those except the rosemary., and basil from my garden (or use dried) Also use the above on foccacia bread. Use a lot of chives, mint, and parsley when it's in the garden

jennyopal, Mar 9, 8:31pm
Freshly ground black pepper,Can't stand that retro dust, that we used to put on our food.

antoniab, Mar 10, 6:11am

Oregano - Every pizza here gets drizzled with garlic infused olive oil and a good sprinkling of Oregano and Salt & black pepper - I like to put it on top, all over the cheese - then in the oven but you can drizzle it on right before serving too.

You can knead oregano and garlic into the pizza dough too when making your base or any herb you want..

When I make the tomato base I normally add basil as it has a nice sweet flavor - other than that - no herbs and only limited toppings as we don't like heavily laden pizza's
