I know but I have to see. I do try to pick cheaper frames but am limited by the expensive lens. It won't always fit in the cheaper ones.

Wow. I don't do too bad by what people are spending. I spend around 150-200 a week for 1 adult, 2 teens and 2 primary kids. Included in that is 3 loaves of gluten free bread etc as one child is coeliac . Man it is sooo expensive! ! ! I am going to try and cut my food bill down to 150. It is hard though with everything going up! ! ! !

I have no idea how much i usually spend a the supermarket, i normally buy my groceries with my credit card. I really need to start budgeting and cutting down my grocery bill as it is too high.
I have a 15 year old son, 4 fussy cats, 1 dog, 6 chooks and an avairy with with ringneck parrots. It costs me quite a bit for feeding my animals.
For those that budget, what is your normal shopping list for the week?
I bought the book that $21 challenge book to get some ideas but am unable to find it now.
Food prices and everything have gone up so much lately.

i love making biscuits and freezeing them before they are cookked so you have a bag of rolled biscuits of all different types cause you can just add to them when you do it freeze on a tray and add to bag, that way when you want to cook them you can grab an assortment and its like youve been baking for days, and it only takes 5 mins to prepare them easy peasy

kob - wouldn't that be tricky with some biscuits baking at different speeds?

$220-$260 per week for 2 adults, 12yr old and 10 yr old plus 2 cats. Not included in that is the $120 every 3 months for dog food for 5 dogs. We also get 2 lambs to raise every year for meat so a bag of food for them is $90. We also have 14 chooks but they pay for there own food as we sell their eggs. The money out of their eggs also pays for the kids to have a brought school lunch once a week and take aways for us(fish and chips) on a friday nite. . We usually get what we want in the groceries tho so it could be cheaper if we cut back on treats.

$60-$80 to feed One adult, one hungry toddler, and one large dog. This week's shopping was $58 as I had other bills to pay, and once every 2 or 3 months I have a blow-out shop of $150ish to stock up on all the spices etc (seriously, did you know you can spend $30 on spices alone? ).

It really does matter how much you spend a week as long as you are sensible. Spend within what you earn.
I always compare my food bill at each meal, how much would I pay for a similar feed in a restaurant. Basically, if it is 30% of the amount you have to pay in a restaurant, your food bill is reasonable. By the time you add the labour and power it should be 25% savings for you.
So if you pay $400 a week for 2 adults and 2 teens. It cost $100 per person. Here you get 7 meals and 5 pack lunches plus 7 snacks/tea. That's hardly $5 or $6 a meal. It is a bargain.
Our dinner costs $5 per pax and we are on the breadline but get lots of satisfaction for healthy and minimum adulterated foods
