they are sold here in Rotorua at our Saturday markets. $17 for one, and the lady has said they stink but taste good. lol.

Hey $17 sounds like a good price . . . Could you buy 1 and list it for auction . . . I would pay up too $30+ postage for it . . . I am curious about how bad they smell and really want too eat 1 . . . :-)

You can find them in asian shops frozen. I tried it for the first time today. It really smelled the place out. It is creamy but very strong in flavour. I won't be having it again.

My 16 year old daughter who hasn't eaten any form of fruit since she was about five years old tried some as part of a fear factor challenge while on a school trip in Singapore. She actually liked it but said the smell was offputting.

Still can't get her to eat fruit though

I saw fresh durian today for $15. 99 kg.
And I estimate 60-80% of the weight is skin & seeds. I think you're better off with frozen ones that comes in packets already shelled.
