Hi all, well I am doing it again, but this time with warning to you all, so you can save any or all recipes you want to. TradeMeCooks will close on the 18th of July, at least thats the time when I have to pay for renewal of the site, and really I don't see much point. I don't upkeep the site, nor does anyone else for the most part, so there are no new recipes, nor are there likely to be. Please lets not make this into a big issue this time, there is ample time for everyone to save what they want to (including me ! ) so please keep this thread bumped for others who may like to have the chance to also save recipes. Thanks for a good couple of years & for enjoying the site so much while it lasted :)

Thank you fetish for the advanced warning and all your input to the site it has been a great resource for all those recipes and l often pop in to check up on recipes for different things Now l will have to get copying and pasting like mad

I just opened lots of new folders and labelled them with Chicken or Desserts and copied each recipe I had saved to a different document. It takes a while though! Not sure if there is an easier way.

I have just spent the last hour going through all the Boards on TMCs, saving recipes and I would just like to give a huge thanks to all who have given recipes to TMCs as well as fetish for putting it all together.
I now have enough recipes to last me until I am 117 - thanks everyone!

Thanks to you all, and yes sadly C&P is the easiest way to save recipes, although you could if you want save whole pages rather than just one recipe, it would just mean you get all the back ground words etc in your save as well, which you'd then have to go through and rework, good way if you want to save a lot, if not then just single recipes is best. I'll be doing it like nfh1 and just making a recipes folder with subfolders for different foods. Just in case it does get shut down sooner (it shouldn't) but you never know, don't put it off to the last minute ! Hope you all have a great day :)

OK so I copied and pasted hundreds and hundreds of recipes - really yummy sounding things.
So how come I had half a can of soup and a sandwich for dinner? Always tomorrow I suppose!

245sam, i had not looked at trademecooks before, now i guess today will be spent looking for recipes. I think i have found already the pickle recipe i have been looking for ages. it is the cucumber, onion, toms and celery one. thank you.

I've managed to copy what I think is all the recipes and popped them into a zip file.
I've stripped off unnecessary images (user avatars)
Does the original poster mind if I upload it somewhere for peeps to download?

The recipes have been contributed by many, many people - all posted here in Trademe, and collected together in the fabulous TrademeCooks website Fetish has run for some years - not for other sites.

I would love a copy of your file. I have started to copy and paste but what a mammoth task!
Without opening a can of worms, what if the fee was donated? This site is too good to go even if it isn't updated. How much is it?

Tell me about it. Took me 8 hours of saving, copy + pasting and then editing the links into a manageable 6 meg zip file.
But as I said, I will only post it IF Fetish says it's OK for me to do so. (So can someone get him/her to reread this thread)
