Hey that's great "samanya" - and as they are already on your computer perhaps you could consider copying them to a dedicated website !

Hell no .that's too complicated;o) & I deleted a lot once I copied them off. However, if there's anything in particular you want, I might just have a copy. I burned some to a DVD .finding it could be the problem.

I'm old-fashioned enough to have printed what I wanted as well. And everything else important on my PC is backed up. Been using them too long to trust these machines completely.

Trade Me member rosathemad describes on her website how she converted an old laptop to a kitchen recipe resource and fixed it on her kitchen wall.
That's so cool elliehen, but no such thing as an 'old' laptop around here though, have only just bought my first one & it's still waiting to be ''inaugurated". Very up to speed with technology, I am (not)

Hi samanya, great that you found my request and posted the recipe. Thanks for that. I have copied it for next year as my big ones are now all eaten and I have just planted my "last lot" of courgette plants for the season - the are already flowering and setting, so lots of nice little ones for a change.
samanya,

I did apologise for genuinely not seeing your request. You were posting last night, well after I started this thread for you. Anyway, I know you wouldn't dream of simply ignoring it, so all's well. You are so lucky to still be able to plant new courgettes .I'm getting ready for frost protection in my garden, (no signs just yet though .temperatures still soaring), but as this is a positive thread .the positive about frosts is that a lot of nuisance bugs perish in the cold temperatures over our winter.

I didn't miss it - but I didn't open the thread - but posted a few things I wanted to say in other threads and then went to bed as I had a very "big" day - for me at least LOL :)

Not mine.yours!"passed"as in:
"He was passed over for the job he wanted and walked past the successful applicant on his way out."
ETA: Trust me, mwood, I'm an editor :-)

OK I thought this may have been a typo in the context of the thread postings : " No one likes to feel passed over :)"LOL
elliehen,
Mar 27, 8:43am
Still 100% correct.it's a phrasal verb, unlike "past" which is an adjective or an adverb.
The word "pass" can cause as many problems as one poster's favourite bought/brought, but I'd never try to correct anyone.Apart from the fact that the messageboards are about communication, not preaching or teaching, I might accidentally invoke Skitt's Law (#4 on the 10 immutable laws of the internet).
4. Skitt’s Law Expressed as "any post correcting an error in another post will contain at least one error itself".
It is an online version of the proofreading truism Muphry’s [sic] Law, also known as Hartman's Law of Prescriptivist Retaliation: "any article or statement about correct grammar, punctuation, or spelling is bound to contain at least one eror [sic]".

I take it gutter humour is not your strong point ! LOL

Skitt's Law and Passed Over in the same sentence!I can do gutter, but only offline, if required ;-)

Butting in for curiousity sake, why don't you get along! (uli and eilihen)
elliehen,
Mar 27, 1:29pm
I don't know uli any more than I know stefanie, so I can't tell you whether we'd enjoy each other's company and "get along" or not.
I do like many of uli's posts on organic farming and growing heritage vegetables and I've saved some of her vegetable recipes.I don't agree with the peremptory way she disposes of new posters who don't conform to her rigid way of cooking and eating, nor her rudeness to some posters which she calls "blunt speaking" - her "non-English" approach. I believe in leaving posters' spelling, grammar and syntax alone, and uli likes to correct people.
However, as I suggested, if we were to meet we might have enormous respect for each other. The "persona" on the messageboard is not necessarily the "person" in real life.
Edited to add:I think that uli is mellowing ;-)

Just in case pickles7's TWO bumps without adding any extra post was intended to hide this friendly and very rational exchange ;-)
