We are going to Brisbane in May and thought I might treat myself to a juicer while away. I believe this brand is Australian made. Any tips for a place in Brisbane that does good discount prices! address and/or ph # would be very useful Thanks

I have one. I bought it in New Zealand for $475

hilt_dwane, Feb 17, 5:32pm
where please!

cookessentials, Feb 17, 5:33pm
Online from Wellington I think. If you Google Lexsun New Zealand there will be some options. They have a 25 year guarantee. Ours is used a number of times every day.

Everybody I talk to (and read on here) is juicing atm - I think after that doco with the man that went on a juice "diet", it was pretty impressive. I think if you have vast amounts of free fruit and vege, it would be great, but pretty expency if you bought everything. I do love the juice bar in town

cookessentials, Feb 18, 6:33pm
We dont find it that expensive. We have some of our own vege, but we do buy a fair bit. For us, as it is all the food we buy, it is not expensive at all and we have a great variety of fruit and vege to choose from like watermelon, rock melon, oranges, pears, apples, carrots, pak choy, bok choy, tomatoes, cucumber, courgettes, lettuce, strawberries, pineapple, plums, peaches, nectarines, brocolli, onion, parsnips, pumpkin.

Hope you see this cookessentials. would value your opinion thanks

That is basically the one I have. Ask if they have filled out the warranty and registered it. When you buy it, you have 10 days or so to fill in warranty card and send it back to them. I am very pleased with mine and they are just so simple to clean. Did you read the yield I got out of three carrots, two apple and two oranges this lunch time! 900 mls!

hilt_dwane, Feb 19, 6:57pm
Yes thats just amazing! Thank you for replying. Would you recommend it if the warranty hasnt been attended to! I gather yours is the later model! They must have changed in the couple of months between when this was sold and when you got yours.

cookessentials, Feb 19, 7:26pm
Mine is the mark 2, it has the handle the same as this one. If they have done the warranty, then you should be able to transfer it over I would assume. I take it that it is unused! I wonder where they bought it from! There are a couple of online places here in NZ

cookessentials, Feb 19, 7:32pm
I see it is a buyer must pick up though!

hilt_dwane, Feb 19, 7:43pm
Yes I see that - have left them a question

cookessentials, Feb 20, 7:42am
The Lexsun juicers in Aussie are AUD $475 so just as easy to buy here in New Zealand anyway Carol. You would probably bee looking at $9.00 courier fee ( with Fastway), so you would be saving roughly $100 if you bought the one on here with the lesser warranty.

hilt_dwane, Feb 20, 7:59am
Done it! Thanks for all your input Cook. Thats rough about the normally untransferrable warranty - wonder if that applies to all items but not widely known. I shall need to get it in writing from the supplier anyway

cookessentials, Feb 20, 8:07am
Make sure you find out where they bought it from so you can check it out. Tell the distributor that it is brand new and unused and purchased recently. Hopefully the seller may evenn have the receipt which i think you also require for the warranty. Well done you for getting it, you will really love the juice from it.

I'm going to put up a thread - maybe in General - re the LEGAL side of selling items under guarantee. Wonder if there is a standard rule or up to the individual firm. Seller said the supplier got very pissy with her for even asking about guarantee

cookessentials, Feb 20, 10:00am
If I was you, talk to the consumer guarantees people, they should be able to advise. If the item is new and unused and only a few months old, it should not make any difference to the distributor. If the item is unusable becaue of a fault, i am not sure what the rules would be. I'm sure it will be fine. I have had mine a year in June and have had no problems with it.

hilt_dwane, Feb 22, 11:39am
Cook. the seller of the juicer I bought has been in contact with the shop where it was originally purchased. They told her there has been an increase of approx $50 on the retail price so I got it at a good price. Thanks for the headsup

cookessentials, Feb 22, 12:18pm
Well, thats great news. Let me know what you think of the juices from it once you try it. Sorry to see that the original thread in health was hi-jacked and ruined as was the particular posters intention. I am sure you will be thrilled with the juicer. Did you get in contact withMinistry of Consumer Affairs!

hilt_dwane, Feb 22, 3:37pm
Not in contact yet - will wait until I get the juicer. It's not going to make any difference to whether the sale goes ahead or not. Will keep you posted on our opinions on the juice. looking forward to tasting it
