yes, IQF means individually quick frozen. Sorry, dun have the name of the supplier, its all stored in the computer systems.i only have the stocksheet to do my recipe costings.

Yes there is some wastage, either moisture or straining. I strain the jam sometimes as some people does not like the seeds sticking to their teeth.so for example 1kg of fruit, maybe i will get 500-600g after being boiled down

I saw pak n sav has 1kg iqf frozen blackberries for $6.49 (Mt Albert Auck) Mixed berry is like $7.39. didnt see 1kg raspberries. They had 250g for $3.49.

the point is about availability of ingredients in the consumer market. if you only use AAA+ export grade raspberries in your jam, thats you.

We still have lots of places in the North where you can pick yourself - maybe not in Auckland .
