I've never heard them called anything but red cabbage.It's the purpley-red coloured cabbage that makes great slaws and pickles.

Savoy cabbage is a dark green cabbage with real crinkly leaves & taste strong. Red cabbage as brish & malcovy say..

Yep a above seems to be only known as Red Cabbage BUT I did see a German name for ir but it seems more the name of it when pickled than a general term

The German name is: Rotkohl

Edited to add: Have looked in my gardening books and some don't even mention them. Professor Walker, on the other hand does. He calls them .wait for it . red cabbages! Smiling inanely here. He mentions two varieties - Prize Red and Rondy.
