Bannana alternative?

butterfly00, Feb 24, 10:51pm
I make smoothies with banana, rice milk and blueberries. But am finding the banana too much of a sugar spike, but without it the smoothie is just watery what can I use instead to thicken up a smoothie. ( no dairy- yooghurt etc)

protein powder is good for that and plenty of ice.You can get soy protein powders.

kiwifruit, aprcots and maybe some ground almonds which you can whizz before you add the rest!

I have an allergy to bananas :( and love my smoothies so use paw paw to thicken and its yummy!
