Any one got any idea how to cook these easily and that they'd appeal to kids? Thanks in advance

Best fish for kids is crumbed skinned and boned fillets I find which should suit bream well I think. I see you are in Christchurch where I was told they sell small snapper as bream is this so or is it another type of fish?

Bream is very nice, don't under-estimate this, can be better than snapper.
Just cook it like snapper, tarakihi, even like broadfish, it is a very nice white fleshy fish.
Commercial Fishermen quite often catch this fish up North and either throw them back or give them away or keep them for themselves, apparently not valued like other fish, WHY - Don't know perhaps their outer colour or skin....
