Was in our local Bin Inn (Blenheim) today and their signs were down.
Turns out they are changing to Simplifood, and will (hopefully) sell the same sort of range. Can anyone comment on the comparison?
They need a website!Maybe I could offer to set it up.

What are you trying to convey here? That Bin Inn is being sold to a company called "Simplifood"?

That the Blenheim Bin Inn will no longer be a Bin Inn, but a Simplifood shop instead.Under the same management I think, although it was listed as being for sale on the Bin Inn website.
The same has happened in Cambridge. When I questioned it was told they are more upmarket. No doubt wll be more expensive also.

The leaflet I picked up said "Better quality and better value".I hope the value part is true.

Hey- not any darer and more varity. Greymouth has had the same happen and our owner/operator one of the drivers behind new company as Bin Inn not open to change. Our lady now carries Asian range prepacked and Couplands bakery goods. Patronage has increased significantly and changes have been positive

Mt Maungnaui changed a while back. I can still get the same bread mixes I used to get at Bin Inn and haven't noticed any major changes.

Sounds like simple 're-branding' that happens every now and then. The Bin-Inn Brand is pretty tired, has been around for at least 20+ years that I can remember anyway. They will also be trying to capture a new market (the middle income range) that 'Bin-Inn' did not appeal to.

I think it may be a break-away group of disenchanted franchisees.
I remember Bin Inn going back over 25 years.

Yes to all the above, its agroup of Ex Bin Inners that have set up a new group to branch out, try new things and get smarter! No not more expensive the opposite, as the buying is central so better econimies of scale :-) New ranges include teas and coffees, tradeAid, Green Goddess and many more in the pipeline...tell everybody to get shopping and spread the word

I was driving round Blenheim yesterday. The ex Bin Inn is now Simplifood, but saw Bin Inn signage on a shop elsewhere, not open yet.Looks like competition.I hope the town can support both!!

Simplifood seems to have a fresher, more modern image than Binn Inn. I forgot Binn Inn was even around. Love that Simplifood has everything i need to bake my stuff at home, im saving so much money just getting the amounts i need and the products are so fresh. I think Simplifoods are onto something good here.

Check out the new Bin Inn store in Blenheim. 25 Redwood Street. New, bigger and better. More range of products including wide range of Brewing and Dutch products. SimpliFoods never had bigger range as the new Bin Inn. Plus Bin Inn does 10% discount voucher on the midweek paper. SimpliFoods never used to do that. So Bin Inn is the one that will look after our local people. SimpliFoods is just there to make money.
So go into the new Bin Inn store and check out for yourself. I was impressed with the customer service of the new Bin Inn aswell. check out for yourself.
