What is oatbran?

Okay it's not for a recipe it's to feed to pet locusts.Is it like rolled oats? or do I need to pick some up at grocery shop? ( I have never noticed it there?)

No locusts...like the sort that cause swarms overseas.Great project for kids, they get huge.Don't worry nz conditions not good for them, not hot enough :)
They will help eat my veges!

You will find it in the cereal aisle next to rolled oats. I buy the HB one at Countdown, around $2.20 a pkt. Healtheries also do it but it is more expensive.

Oh yeah they survive in the warmer parts somewhat but apparently not in large numbers and don't swarm? Well look out warmer weather....
There are a few people that breed them for reptile fodder but crickets are more common - maybe easier to breed.
