When are they ready to eat?Currently they are rock hard.
Does the stem part have a bit of give like the Hass does?

they stay green but soften like a hass avocado,they're very nice to eat too

Made the mistake of waiting till I thought they were ripe. Result tasted like avocados do when going off.

do not poke them, hold them in your palm, give them a little squeeze, you will feel them give a little, when ripe.

But take care - the last two I brought had a very very thick skin and so didn't ever feel soft - until they got black spots - even then, apart from the spots, I wouldn't have guess they were ripe.And Yes - the stalk should give, just like a hass.
