Ahahahahahaha you are such a bad influence! You gave that recipe for hollandaise sauce and now I make it way too much and am addicted to it! lol. Its even divine on homemade chips or wedges. Thanks so much for posting it, though I don't think my waist line is too impressed ;-)

No worries. It is a recipe to die for! I made it yesterday morning for my eggs bene, and had to control myself not to make it again today lol

I'm glad you like it dwebbie.it will certainly have an impact on your waistline if you have it with chips or other starchy things, but is still much better for you than any pre-made version.
Try making Eggs Benedict or Eggs Florentine without the muffin - they are both totally delicious and not nearly so fattening.

Yeah I haven't made it in ages, as I just didn't have the lemons, or the bread. I go through stages where I don't eat bread or muffins for ages and then I will crave it a wee bit and have it a couple of days in a row. But I agree, much better than a pre-made version. Tastes delish on chops and steak too ;-)

Why couldn't you eat sushi and hollandaise while pregnant?

Listeria.

Yeah. Listeria. Once upon a time we pregnant women just got on with it. Nowadays pregnancy comes with responsibilities and one of them is to receive and memorise a massive list (well it seemed like that to me) of forbidden foods and activities.
It is no wonder children don't like lots and lots of foods. It is because they were not exposed to them during gestation. Once born, and if breastfeeding, there is another even bigger list of vegetables and fruit that appear to be forbidden. I had to remind my daughter that she needed most of the foods on that list to nourish herself and her baby.
I even saw a post here that feeding mums shouldn't eat spicy foods!! Tell that to women on the Indian sub-continent, Japanese (the highest consumers of chilli per capita in the world), Koreans, Mexican and Spanish, etc.
The world is going crazy.

race week was incredible - it was real cold in the winter but it is a great city -plenty to do and see -you have had heaps of rain for sure -

Yeah its damn cold over winter where we live too. Up on the great dividing range so the altitude I guess. Some days its like pea soup outside, and you can barely see six inches in front of your nose.

Holy Moley, I have to agree wholeheartedly here. Have had a lot of pregnant friends recently and it was such a pain when it came to eating.I got sick of hearing about what they can't eat.One of my friends managed to stuff plenty of icecream and biscuits down her gob, but anything like meat or spicy foods was apparently a no go for her - go figure? My mother has the same attitude, the more variety of foods you eat, the less intolerances your child will probably have.
