Where do you buy cheesecloth?

sleyle, Oct 19, 1:28am
Please?

I guess you are in Auckland? If so then there is a great shop in Drury:

http://www.wholesalehardware.co.nz/shop/Stockinette.html http://www.wholesalehardware.co.nz/shop/Kottonette.html

I am sure you will find something suitable there for whatever you want to use it for.

If you want it for cheese then you can also simply use new cloth nappies. Good luck!

Thanks for that but what a funny ordering system!Fussy aren't I!

gingeralenz, Oct 19, 4:28am
$2pm at some fabric shops

shop-a-holic, Oct 19, 5:37am
SPOTLIGHT sell both the white cloth (which I use to wrap cut lemons for guests so that the pips don't fall out); and the tighter brown cloth. ASK for it at the counter, as it is not out for the public to see and handle, since its a FOOD GRADE material. $3 per metre. Enjoy :0)

Thanks gingeralenz and shopaholic, I will try both those :-)

Not that difficult...you can just phone them if you prefer.

lenart, Oct 19, 2:31pm
I sell 2 types of cheese cloth, extra fine for better filtration and butter muslin for straining.

cookessentials, Oct 19, 3:01pm
You best be careful lenart, otherwise the two TM police will swoop in and claim you are self promoting.

alebix, Oct 19, 4:14pm
Supermarkets sell it, so does Bunnings and Mitre 10 (mega as well).

Ah well - I would ring them myself - but if that's too hard - why bother?
