You can use the apple corer, peeler, slicer for potatoes as will which will give you the same spiral effect as in the above picture.

I have one of these I bought overseas last year but have never used it. How do you cook the potatoes once you have spiralled it? I don't want to deep fry it- spray with oil and in the oven maybe?

Just take the family to Dennys, they have curly fries

kandi_gurl, Oct 7, 7:36pm
You put a skewer thru it and deep fry, got 2 plastic spiral cutters at Emundi market in Aug $5 each, can buy them cooked in my town with sprinkle over them yum

kuaka, Oct 7, 9:07pm

You will find that many of the items you see on Australian Masterchef are not get available in NZ...it takes anything from 6 months to a year for items to filter through here, unless someone here brings them in themselves.

I saw curly fries in the frozen section of the supermarket the other day.

redhotkiwi, Oct 30, 2:18pm
supermarkets have curly fries, they aren't the cheapest for the amount that you get

korbo, Oct 31, 11:26am
i saw these being made at a fair yesterday, but the lady said she bought the machine from sth africa. they were $40 i recall.
then they deepfried the curly spud on a skewer.
