I got put off entering after reading the small print, Saving my flavour for something else. There are four flavours, isn't there....vintagekitty...non of them sounded good to me

vintagekitty, Sep 25, 9:33am
butter chicken, sunday roast and one other?

phas3e, Sep 25, 9:36am
butter chippin and cheesy garlic bread

Sunday roast is pretty damn good so far. the cheesy garlic is ok

I don't eat potato chips but I do eat paua and it is, IMO, a food given directly to us from the heavens. So is it the flavour of this heavenly food you find so eeeww or is it that it is combined with lemon and stuck into a potato chip?

If I had to rate a food as the most eeww then my choice would be instant noodles. Not only is it eeww tasting but it is also, like the aforementioned crisps, totally devoid of any nutritional value.

Ilike the Paua and lemon chips. Don't like the sunday roast ones. Remind me of bread and dripping.

pickles7, Sep 25, 10:48am
...buzzy110....just think of paua leather, our puppy loves those pigs ears, food for thought??

A lady here at Ohope was in the newspaper a few days ago - she's a finalist with the butter chicken chips.. she said she often uses the leftover sauce, from when she's made butter chicken, as a dip for chips.. and decided to enter with that..

They all need votes.. the one with the most votes on the Bluebird site will win the top prize.. the others win $5,000.. this is the link if anyone would like to vote..

martine5, Sep 25, 9:31pm
Guess that means my slow roasted lamb shank flavour wasn't a winner.Could someone please arrange for these aftershocks to stop??

buzzy110, Sep 25, 11:44pm
Duh!?#* Paua, leather, puppies and pigs ears all combined into one sentence. Sure makes my head spin.

beaker59, Sep 25, 11:49pm

buzzy110, Sep 26, 12:03am
Or a silk bag even, to put my potato chips into!

pickles7, Sep 26, 12:04am
Juist giving you somethig else to snack, on.... buzzy....

buzzy110, Sep 26, 12:12am
Ah ha. so in your opinion, leather, puppies and pig's ears are good stuff. I'm shopping tomorrow. I'll look for a testing stand and trial those things if they are going. Mmm. Look forward to that.

pickles7, Sep 26, 1:24am
mmmm you can smell a good bit o leather, chew on a pigs ear, spoze you will be lookin at all the puppies, then...buzzy...??

buzzy110, Sep 26, 1:32am
Mmm. Got any particular recommendations pickles. What sort of puppy do you think would taste best? I've not had the benefit of your vast experience in this area.

pickles7, Sep 26, 4:04am
LOL, I just had a look at, hairless puppies.
The Chinese Hairless are the plumpest.
You wouldn't need to be adding anything much to those, I would go for them, as nature meant them to be, Natural.
All good. just ducking back to look again lol.

buzzy110, Sep 26, 6:07am
No hair! So much the better then one won't have to shave each potato chip before eating it!

You know we could send Bluebird a sample of Hairless Puppy flavoured potato chip. We could win a prize. In fact, I'll let you do the work and take all the credit because it was your idea in the first instance. You could take the crown for the most original flavoured potato chip ever.

what did the small print say?Havent seen any of these myself.

pickles7, Sep 26, 6:58am
I had an entry ready to go and was reading the conditions right through. I just did not like what I read, so chose not to enter. I read it on a chip packet.

huntermac, Sep 26, 7:27am
oooooooo what were the conditions that put you off...I have heard so many people say the same thing!!

imn, Sep 26, 8:07am
ooooh you mean the voting?! I thought you read something about the chips themselves.

livewire, Sep 28, 5:28am
I have tried the butter chicken- they taste nothing like butter chicken. The sunday roast ones are yuck, but i dont eat meat and thought they tasted a bit too meaty. I refuse to try the paua ones. And the cheesy garlic bread tastes like sour cream or cheese/onion,nothing new really. I was a bit disapointed with the flavours they chose in the end.
