My mother in law is adament she cannot find this spice, but I know I've seen it somewhere but since I've not used it for years I cannot remember where.Anyone know?thanks

If you can tell me where in Tauranga Fisher that would be helpful.We've checked everywhere.Even on the Masterfoods website, they don't have it listed in their products.

Do you have a Asian spice shop in Tauranga? Or an Indian shop, selling bulk spices. I was going to say phone, but really go into the Authentic Indian, spices shop. take all afternoon. They will sell it. Maybe a trip to Rotorua, they have several stockist of spices there.

I bought Sumac yesterday at a New World supermarket,(in akld) it is a Mrs Rodgers brand,hopes this helps..

LOL. I used to sell this at the markets around Tauranga- Rotorua etc a few years ago but alas no longer in the area.If you have no luck locally Auckland will have a number of Indian/Asian spice markets able to supply.

I bought Sumac today at our local Indian food and spices store.$2.99 for about 100gms.Hmmm, now I just need to work out what it will be best used on!

I had trouble finding it down here too - finally found it at a specialty food shop - you got any deli shops there
