Probably because EVERYONE watches the commonwealth Games lol. I thought the whole idea of the extra channel was so it wouldn't interrupt normal programmes, but nooooo, what a load of cods.

Would much rather watch MKR than the Commonwealth Games as would I suspect lots of people.

I am so pleased those two over confident women, Roula and Rachel, got their marching orders. I was over their cockiness.

Yep, those who talk themselves up "this is a competition worthy dish" etc & ooze confidence in their own ability, tend to lose me as well, I do hear you.

You were right. Just heard MKR will be back after the Games on Mon 16th.

Yeah, and they left us hanging out for the elimination. I hope the guys go, as prefer the couple to them (but like both).
Sheesh, guess most of my programmes will be dumped (and others) because the CG are so awesome. (Definitely sarcasm there).
Think DVD sellers might get a spike in their sales lol

Me too ❤️

Result of Wednesdays challenge was interesting. The team Pete and Colin were going to send to elimination round getting people's choice lol. Felt sorry for team that got sent to elimination instead knowing they only got picked because the public liked the team who failed to meet the challenge brief best.

I can't believe they got through. The main was a nightmare

It shows the stupidity of the show

The way he was hacking at the pork was terrible. Both mains looked awful.

Have you noticed how the elimination rounds are keeping the two groups even. If group one team get eliminated one week then then group two team get eliminated the following week.
Given that during instant kitchen rounds group two were clearly the strongest cooks you would have expected group one to be the first group teams to be eliminated from show.
Think it will be Alex and Emily (think that's right names) who go next week, she clearly is at point she not coping with stress and yes I think they should have gone this week but that would have left group two with more teams than group one.

OMG I just want to hit them lol

Yesss! Good result. Those two sisters were insufferable. Good cooks but sour personalities. It may actually have been Hadil who lost them the challenge as she alienated everyone on the other team and may have influenced their votes.

I didn't mind the sisters, but think they were too confident and it backfired. Emily does my head in the way she bounces around the kitchen panicking and not actually getting anything done.

Last night was one of the biggest surprises for me, I thought the Asian sisters might have made it to the final. I wasn’t sorry tho, no more of their nasty comments, so unnecessary.
unknowndisorder,
May 1, 11:34am
I think there will be plenty more nasty comments, but at least one of my least liked teams is gone, just one more really bad one to go. The Russians and Botox sisters are becoming more likeable as the season progresses, but will see if that lasts lol

I agree. Those two teams are now growing on me too.

The dark haired girl, wearing the pink band in her hair last night is pretty lemony. She’s not too bothered about who she upsets. Think we may have to endure her acerbic comments for a while yet as she and partner are cooking well. AND doesn’t she know it!

Hadil? Yes she’s pretty toxic, they both are.
gshj,
May 1, 2:24pm
Yes, they are. It's just a shame they are such good cooks. The Russians are growing on me, but I wouldn't be sad to see the botoxed ones go.
marcs,

The Russians have grown on me. The blond one Olga is actually very funny. They cook typical Russian cuisine a bit later and Russian food is not something that is well known in the Southern Hemisphere.

I agree, so far their cooking has been alright, but I wonder if it’s competition alright? The list of foods they don’t like is longer than I would have thought. Maybe their repotoire not as broad as some other contestants? I don’t know, just me musing!
