is that the hairdressers, she is nasty

rainrain1, Nov 27, 6:44pm
Yay, Wanaka congratulations you did it!

teddiesbearall, Nov 27, 7:12pm
Yes well done Wanaka. the other couple are crass with their stupid comments and laughter. So pleased the right couple won :)

slimgym, Nov 28, 4:58am
I thought the nasty couple were so laid back to night, and why give people half of a dessert, and a steak
Wanaka pair were lucky to win with that dessert.

mals69, Nov 28, 6:57am
Friggin thing rigged from the get go, producers wanted the
fairytale ending that the majority of the public wanted.

A perfectly cooked steak gets ignored and raw onions the focus,
trumped by a complete shit dessert

I wanted the Wanaka couple to win because that ch-ch girl was
a "biarch". But the win was not won on merit!

unknowndisorder, Nov 28, 7:08am
The fairytale end wasn't a fairytale, as they split up early in the series being aired (that did make me think they would either win or be at the sharp end).

TBH, I didn't really care who won as I didn't like either couple.

Not sure if anyone knows, but is Nadia a chef? It bugs me how they start calling these winners chefs, whereas I think they are still home cooks who happened to win a show, unless they then went off and trained. I know she is a nutritionist.

mals69, Nov 28, 7:14am
Yeah thought the same about Nadia, only someone with
trade certificate has earned the right to judge in my book.

davidt4, Nov 28, 8:28am
As far as I know Nadia was a dietician. I agree, it's so inaccurate to describe a home cook as a chef, and it's an insult to real chefs, who do a difficult job that requires great expertise.

samanya, Nov 28, 8:50am
I was fairly certain that the rhubarb dessert was not going to be a winner, the moment that pile of gelatine went into the custard.
I agree with others re Nadia . brilliant cook & as it's turned out a very astute business women . but the 'chef' title is not earned by winning a MC competition.

mals69, Nov 28, 9:03am
No doubt Nadia no dummy, Theresa Gattung and another prominent business women are also at the helm of My Food Bag.

slimgym, Nov 28, 12:05pm
I wonder how the Wanaka couple are doing in there own business, he would be ok but she really didn't shine.
they didn't practice the dessert very well

mals69, Nov 28, 1:30pm
Guess not great if they have split up.

slimgym, Nov 29, 3:43am
sorry I read it wrong I thought it was the other couple that broke up

mals69, Nov 29, 5:18am
No worries.

devonwrecked, Nov 29, 5:33am
It had the feel of a show in its death throes. You can see that by the lack of interest on this board. MKR still had us talking, this one, meh!

mals69, Nov 29, 5:36am
Yeah true, was suprised with bugger all topics on here.

duckmoon, Nov 29, 5:37am
The women who came second was feral.

duckmoon, Nov 30, 5:46am
Less interest, because mkrnz is such a shallow show . small funding, no mrk kitchen.
Very thin
