Needed to get some kremelta. but I noticed that chefaide is heaps cheaper.

Would they give the same results. Im going to make chocolate crackles and White Christmas.

I got Kremelta but just wondered if Chefaide would taste just the same

Chefade is more for cooking in. Kremelta is used for chocolate crackles amoungst other things

Kremelta is coconut fat. Chefade is animal (beef) fat. Not sure I'd want to make crackles etc with beef fat, but maybe others do?

If you think you are going to make more in the future I would use RBD coconut oil (refined bleached deodorised) which I expect Kremelta is anyway or very similar. Vrigin Coconut oil is much more expensive. I buy the RBD one from Davis Trading in 2.5kg buckets for $17 and keeps for 2+ years. (I use for soapmaking).
