Young'un's may not remember the malt our Mum's made us take, back in the 60's. Along with Cod Liver Oil if and when we swore, dreadful muck. Can one still buy Malt?

I would love to be able to buy powdered malt. wendys put a miniscule amount in a milkshake and call it malted. why cant I buy the powder

The malt we used to take was the one dad used in his home brew. A tablespoon a week. I loved it!
I loved it too - and my kids had it as well. You could still get it 10 years ago from the supermarket, but I haven't looked for ages. The one I didn't like was black strap molasses. Mothergoose - have you tried horlicks? Its expensive but yumm too.

you could in a milk shake I think, but I can't put it in hot water to melt it and then add milk for a hot drink, because it curdles the milk. It's about 80% sugar though. I don't know if brewing malt is too.

Yes you can buy maltexo from supermarkets, well you could a year ago. In the supplement/pill section.

Yes it's called Maltexo - I use it in some recipes, but I also eat the stuff every single day - love it !

This firm may be worth contacting as they stock a variety of malts.
We used to take Minadex as kids and we loved it. That must be why my brothers and I are all so healthy in our middle age. I wonder if you can still get it?

Binn inn, if there is one near you, sells it also. Shame you can't get the Halibut orange one now, I liked that one the best. Minadex yummm remember being dosed with that, loved it haven't been able to buy it for a very long time.

No not cod liver oil , we had caster oil once a week and I had to be held down for a dessertspoon to be poured down my neck yuk . was revolting
