Hi all. Always interested in buying "different" products you can't get at the supermarket. Does anyone have any interesting websites to share?

krazy_kat - do you just want websites that sell products online? I'm looking forward to seeing the suggestions here. I know that both Sabato and Zarbo sell imported products online, but I'm lucky living in Auckland so I can just pop in to their stores. I'm sorely tempted to buy some Willies' Cacao online from the Uk!

Not too sure about various websites for various products that one cannot get at normal supermarkets but in Auickland over the past year or so are a number of various "Asian" and some other various mini-supermarkets have opened up...
For e. g. In New Lynn, the old Mitre 10 store is now another one of these mini-supermakets, likewise another where the Fruit store opposite Lynnmall on Veronica St (they specialise in Goat's meat as well), plus one next to "The Warehouse" and this is only part of New Lynn.
Maybe if others along similar lines could be posted to have a good indication of what is where throughout NZ... . . Hmmm
Not a food ordering website, but I like the food pictures here... raw ingredients never looked this sexy!

Gourmet Direct is a wonderful site. The Tastes From Around New Zealand is fairly new.

I know living down here we don't have a lot of the specialty shops that Auckland does. That's why I started this! Some great ones there guys that I personally didn't know about!

I see you are in Masterton krazy-kat. Have you been to La Bella Italia in Petone?

http://www.labellaitalia.co.nz/index2. php We often visit La Bella italia for lunch and to purchase some great Italian items for the pantry. Antonio is lovely and he always finds us his best table - would love to do his guided trip to his home town in Italy and do some of the classes and visit the various food producers.
