Yes, and for other desserts.
From:-http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladyfinger_(biscuit) "Ladyfinger (biscuit) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Ladyfingers in transparent plastic packages Alternative name(s):Savoiardi Main ingredient(s):Sponge cake (egg whites, egg yolks, sugar, flour), powdered sugar Ladyfingers are light and sweet sponge cakes roughly shaped like a large finger. They are a principal ingredient in many dessert recipes, such as trifles, charlottes, and tiramisu. They are typically soaked in a sugar syrup or liqueur, such as coffee for the tiramisu dessert. They are also commonly given to infants, being soft enough for teething mouths but easy to grasp and firm enough not to fall apart."
Hope that helps.:-))

Okra are also known as Lady's Fingers. Yes I know them as Savoiardi biscuits too.

Tiramisu Trifle Use for dipping in mousse or syllabub
We also eat them here instead of biscuits but you need to be quick if you're a dunker!

Food mag has a lovely recipe using Savoiardi biscuits/Lady fingers to make a lucious strawberry mousse cake. Very easy and tastes great!

I buy them for a couple of desserts I make. Both Italian in style. Similar to tirimasu
My children just like to eat them straight from the package

Did you get a new spoon for Christmas!
uli,

And what did you get for Xmas! Obviously no books - as you don't read, as you told us all in a cook book thread.
sarahb5,
Jan 5, 5:02am
Not true - I said I didn't get any books including cook books for Christmas but as usual you have taken this the wrong way.I have read 3 novels this week from my TBR shelf which still has about 30 more on it - hence I did not want any new books for Christmas.I usually use an e-reader but am trying to declutter my bookshelves.
You, however, seem to be compelled to stir no matter what else is required .No quite sure why you seem to target me (or my family) but it seems to give you the same amount of pleasure as comfort packages from home give to my daughter.

f off and leave me alone again please - it was blissful without your snide comments

oioioi - now swearing please - it is a family show here - so the "f" word is not appropriate.
I do not target anyone on here, but if you write nonsense then expect that people pick up on it.
Why not use your time off work to train for another job rather than sit on TM all day spouting nonsense!

Nah - not worth it .

I see you quickly deleted your post . or did TM delete it!
and your reply "Nah - not worth it ." to my idea of "Why not use your time off work to train for another job rather than sit on TM all day spouting nonsense!" really says all.
Good luck!

I posted a fuller response to your sniping but simply decided you're not worth it - you think you know so much about me from what you read on here but you have absolutely no idea.I have a full-time job, I'm on holiday at the moment and even if I wasn't I wouldn't be at work on a Sunday.

Well the last I read here was that you had lost your job and would be now on TM full time LOL :) So yeah I only know about you what you give us on this message board about your circumstances. But maybe it is not all true! And I should not take it as real!
