Just wondering what people go for. I have heard a list is out in Sunday Star Times today - haven't seen it - but just wondering what is everyone's fav! For me I guess it is Daniel Le Brun.

Deutz or Daniel Le Brun if I want to spend a bit more. Good old Lindauer if I'm going easy on the budget.

Asti riccadonna is very very sweet is it not! I wouldn't think it would suit most tastes.I also find deutz too sweet.Lindauer nicer for me as long as its the right one -which I cant actually remember.!

Lindauer for me too! I love the pinot gris and the summer one. The price of actual Champagne is astronomical but any old bubbles will do me really -- I feel lucky to have cheap taste ;-)

If money is no object then Mumm but since money is a bit of an issue at the moment we will be happy with Deutz or Pongracz which I think is what we had last year - someone on here recommended it but I can't remember now if that was the one - many glasses of wine have gone under the bridge since then!

Pol Roger Winston Churchill, simply the best, even better than Cristal IMO. There is a nice one called Ernest Rapaneau,it is $27 a bottle, far nicer than Deutz and not much difference in price.

Except that Deutz is on special at Countdown this week for $19.99.

For special occasions I love Veuve Clicquot or Moet Chandon, but for other times Lindeaur Brut.Did a favour for someone a couple of weeks ago and they gave me a bottle of Moet Chandon, so you can guess what were drinking with Christmas dinner.
