Not sure if this is the right forum for this. but we are moving to Dunedin, and need to find somewhere we can buy beans, lentils, nuts & other wholefoods for the non-outrageous price of supermarkets! As far as we can tell there is no longer a Bin Inn in Dunedin. Does anyone know of anywhere! Thanks :-)

I live in Dunedin and would be interested to find out if anything has replaced Bin Inn.I don't think there is a bulk cheap place but would be happy to find out I'm wrong!
Actually, I'm wondering if Asian grocery stores sell dried beans and lentils! They sell really cheap spices. Will take a look next time I visit one.
But there is also one on St Andrew St and Sew Hoys in Stafford St.

there is a natural wholefood shop in high st, opposite the southern cross hotel, it is open till 6pm in weeknights and I have seen a large range of grains etc, did not take notice of prices though. I used to go to binn inn and ont know of any replacements, it was a shame when it closed

I have been in touch with Bin Inn about them hopefully opening up a store in Dunedin - they are fully aware there is a need - bu as it's a franchise business they need franchisers. they also asked if I was interested. so. if you're the business type and think you could run a Binn Inn store - just contact them :)

apart from the Indian shop on St Andrews and Sew Hoys, there is also a chinese grocery shop on Prince Albert Rd, about 3! blocks back from the beach on the St Clair side of the road.
