elderberries are a deep "blackberry" sort of colour, I actually can't remember what they taste like, it's so long since I had any or drank elderberry wine, but the flowers are very delicate as babytears says.They make a nice white wine.

Well, we took a few bottles of Champagne away with us over Christmas and it went down a treat with everyone. so were hooked now!
