You worded your question to google wrong.

"What is the copper content of carob" is what you should have asked.

One of the first hits is this site

http://www.gicare.com/diets/Copper-Restriction.aspx

Which is a fact sheet for Wilson's, and has Carob on the allowed list. You do have to remember your portions however.

Sometimes when you fail with your google search you just have to re think what you are asking, changing the wording helps a lot when dealing with search engines - ie what I asked was more specific than what you asked.

Following PW's most excellent advice I found this:

"Vitamins and Minerals

A 1/2-cup serving of carob flour provides 179 mg of calcium, 2 mg of iron, 426 mg of potassium, 0.3 mg of copper and 0.3 mg of manganese. B vitamins in 1/2 cup of carob include 0.2 mg of riboflavin, 0.2 mg of vitamin B-6 and 15 mcg of folate. One-half cup of carob provides 15 percent of the daily value for copper and manganese. Copper is a trace element that contributes to cellular metabolism and central nervous system function. Copper also helps your body utilize iron and promotes the formation of connective tissue. Manganese is a mineral that plays roles in bone growth, collagen production and metabolism.
