Somebody has kindly given me a bag of crabapples.I have always wanted an opportunity to make jelly but have never ha the crabapples.
I have made jellies before but just wanted to check if it is the standard recipe of cup for cup - for sugar and syrup.
Do I need to put anything else with them?

HI, I use 3/4cup sugar per 1 cup juice. Crab apples are pretty straight forward for making jelly. Have fun. Yummy!

A more delicately flavoured jelly can be obtained by adding rough cuttings from cooking apples as well especially if the crap apples are not small and not overly juicy. I used cup for cup of juice and sugar.
