Hi all, I have a recipe that calls for 2 tbspns sherry, would it be ok to use the Ormond Rich Cream from supermarket or is that not quite the same? TIA!

Proper spanish Sherry is something else though - really worth tracking down. A lovely drop to drink and very useful in all sorts of cooking inc Asian food. Fino is the dry type that's best for cooking. Oloroso is the dark one - good for trifle and soaking into cakes.

Do as Julia does, knock off the rest while cooking!
