Sky City in Auckland... . or anywhere "up top" there. There will be five adults and I'm wondering about what it would cost. Any thoughts? I'm asking here rather than in General.

I've dined at both restaurants in the Sky Tower. Have a look at this link, it has prices for the Observatory (buffet restaurant) and Orbit (a la carte) restaurants.
been there 4 times but only at xmas for staff lunch. i think the price was around fifty dollars but well worth it. i am a ex chef and i was impressed with the quality. i do not know if the menu was only for xmas or if it was there normal lunch menu. i can remember some of the menu. . curry raw fish, , fresh whole salmon, eye fillet in onion shell on crouton, panfried fish, lots of seafood, excellent squid salad. . ten times better than valentines .

that is definitely true. The one in Napier has closed - it was awful there. It seems to be a 'restaurant' where most people go once and never again!
I am being kind calling the one at Napier a restaurant.
