Quiche question??

ems5, Feb 28, 12:20am
I have some left over sausages from last night and I remember mum making quiche with sausages when I was a kid, but can't remember for the life of me what else she put in it.

Any suggestions as i can't get hold of her to ask.

ems5, here's a suggestion that is a very old recipe of my now late MIL's - it is not a quiche but it could be a very tasty way of using leftover sausages.....

SAUSAGE BAKE
sausages,tomatoes,grated onion,cooked potatoes,grated cheese
3 eggs, beaten with eeasoning to taste

Boil the sausages (this step is obviously unecessary for leftover sausages), then skin and split them lengthwise.
Place the sausages in a casserole dish, followed by the tomatoes, onion, potatoes and cheese, then pour the eggs over.
Bake at180°C (350°F)forabout 1 hour.:-))

YUMMMM, that sounds great, easy and likely to satisfy the 3 hungry males that I will have in the house for dinner to tonight.

By tomatoes do you mean tinned tomatoes or chopped fresh ones??

It is a while since I made that dish ems5, and I can't remember what MIL used but I'm fairly sure that I have used both sliced fresh tomatoes and well-drained canned and sliced tomatoes.

Hope you and your "3 hungry males" enjoy this very easily prepared dish.:-))
