Cook them in the husks.........turn regularly

We cook in husks but soak in water for a few minutes first, turn regularly like petal says and sit for a while before eating otherwise can be a bit hot to dehusk safely.

i cheat. i strip 'em, precook 'em, smother them in butter & wrap them in tin foil earlier in the day so all they need is a reheat at BBQ time

Just an aside.... lived in Africa and we used to get Maize which is a much larger cob of unsweetened corn.

As a kid I did what the local Africans did, put the whole cob in the fire and only take it out when the leaves and silks have burnt off.The kernels were eaten a bit like peanuts, crunchy and a delicious smoky flavour.

Not tried it here in NZ, teeth not as good as then!

I husk them then cook quickly on the BBQ turnign till afew black spots appear - no oil or butter needed.
