Just dusted the cobwebs off the Breadmaker.

It's been in storage for quite some time - god knows why I bought it in the first place! Just as easy to make bread without one.

Anyway, looking the recipes I see that the different sized loaves all use the same amount of Dry Yeast.

500g loaf - 2 cups flour - 1.5 tspn yeast
1kg loaf - 4.5 cups flour - 1.5 tspn yeast

Would you stick to that?

I take that back.

I got the breadmaker out a few days ago and so far the boys have devoured 3 loaves, the recipe I use has 4 1/3 cups of flour and 3 teaspoons of surebake yeast.

I have a breadmaker too but make it by hand all the time.I got it out today for the first time in ages to do the dough for burger buns to save time.A couple of times lately I've made two different loaves at once by hand and that can get tricky trying to time them to go in the oven at the same time so might use breadmaker a bit more.My fav heavy seed bread isn't a breadmaker one anyway though.
