lythande1, it seems nothing matters much to you after your comments on a couple of threads that match this one! Katie... the Atlas by Marcato or the Imperia are two of the best you can get. It DOES actually matter as you will find the cheap Chinese steel ones roll your pasta unevenly and do not turn smoothly.

It doesn't matter. You could go and spend loads of money on some trendy brand, why? I have a made in china second hand pasta maker and it's been just fine in the 6 years I've had it. Don't immerse them in water, just wipe it down, that stops any rust. And it really doesn't matter. Spend as little as you like. OK?
