It's been on for an hour, covered with water to which I have added some brown sugar and a lemon. Do I leave it on high until tonight or switch it to low? I want dinner around 7.30 (ish).

i do mine on high with a squirt of golden syrup tsp water and vinegar all daytender as

probably a bit late now... but I do what g.shumway does ... on low for 8 hours.
I cover it in water with a splosh of golden syrup, splosh of vinegar and some bay leaves.Comes out so tender and lovely
