I usually use the Yeast in the sachets, but Im all out, and Im new to making dough. Just wondering how do I mix the yeast that comes in the bottle? Warm water, if so how much? How Long?

i use 1 tablespoon of yeast in 300ml of warm water with 1 tablespoon of SUGAR to activate the yeast, they are best friends. that's for one regular sized white loaf. leave it for about 10 minutes.

and i'm new to this too!

you should experiment too, so you know what you can get away with, i used half a container of yeast just trying stuff out.
now the ladies in here have convinced me to try making my own yeast at home, which is turning into a mutant in my airing cupboard right now muahahaha!

I use 1.5 teaspoons yeast, 1/4 teaspoon sugar & 100 ml warm water to activate the yeast. This is for 4-5 cups flour. Obviously more liquid added as the recipe is made.

a tea spoon is plenty a table spoon will leave your bread tasting of yeast

aha! because the yeast goes mental and feeds off it right? i meant to say up there that only put 1 teaspoon in now but i usually [used to? i'm only new to this] put 1 tablespoon.
