I made your christmas cake and it was delicious.Thankyou for the recipe which I'll use again next time. I didn't worry about the wooden box but stuck to the cooking time mentioned.Cheers Pam

Happy new year to you both. I made it too, in the 23cm box and have cut it in half and fozen one half for over winter time. Glad you enjoyed it. This year, I will make mine alot earlier, probably about September, maybeearlier before the weather heats up!

The wooden boxes make such a difference don't they?I would never cook a fruit cake in a metal tin again.I now have the 3 different sizes of box.
People are always asking how come my edges are still so moist.

Absolutely. Some people cannot get their heads around the concept. it is now the ONLY way I cook my fruit cakes.
