Sponge!

I have a big plain sponge cake that I need to use up. I'd love some ideas on any puddings or the like I could make? Except trifle of course. Thanks!

stew some apple or rhubarb, put in a dish and the sponge on top bake till sponge is warmed through. tirramasu (sp), lamingtons.

Cut sponge into 2 or 3 layers
and whip half a liter of cream.

Smother each layer with cream and heap on fresh berries of your choice. Put on next layer and repeat.

Cut into pieces and eat!

Depending on the size split in half and fill with a raspberry or strawberry jelly, put lid back on and sprinkle with icing sugar before cutting to serve.

We had sponge leftover I made for the trifle and I put cream on it and it was so nice.Funny cos it's something I would normally never think to make but so simple and so nice and light.Loved it.
