we believe we may have truffles growing, we have found about 18gms worth, I have googled images of them and it looks like they are the a white variety, anyone know where I would go to have them identified and find out the value.

There have been several incidences of truffles occurring naturally in NZ so be interested to hear more. My sister and family have a trufflerie in the South Island.

White truffles? ! Now that is exciting! What trees were they under?

narnies, Mar 3, 10:23pm
they were found under both an oak tree and a willow tree that are planted quite close together, the oak tree is one of the original oaks bought here and planted by the early settlers, it is believed to be around 150 years old.
